The Four Pillars of Recovery for BJJ

The Four Pillars of Recovery for BJJ

"Recovery isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing the right things consistently. Gadgets and recovery tools don’t make up for a weak foundation. If you train hard every day but do not manage total body stress and prioritize recovery, you set your body up for failure. Four pillars form the foundation of your recovery. These are not flashy, but they are where the majority of your recovery comes from and deserve the most attention."

Competing won’t just test your skills — it will test your mindset, your preparation, and your willingness to grow. Sometimes the biggest win isn’t the medal, but who you become in the process.

From Doubt to Belief: My Journey to Embracing Confidence in Competition

From Doubt to Belief: My Journey to Embracing Confidence in Competition

Excerpt From Doubt to Belief – Embracing Confidence in Competition

In the tumultuous world of competition, doubt can be a formidable adversary, threatening to undermine our confidence and derail our journey to success. However, through the transformative power of belief, athletes can overcome doubt and unlock their full potential. In this blog, I shared my personal journey from doubt to belief, recounting the night before the IBJJF Master World Championship 2020, in Florida, when a message from an old coworker filled me with uncertainty. Yet, through a moment of clarity, I realized that doubting myself meant doubting my team, coaches, and disrespecting their unwavering support. With newfound resolve, I chose to embrace belief, trusting in the preparation and unity of my team. Together, we defied doubt and emerged victorious, proving that belief is not just a fleeting emotion but a steadfast conviction – a beacon of hope in the darkest of times. As we navigate the highs and lows of competition, let us remember to embrace the power of belief and rewrite the narrative from doubt to triumph, one victory at a time.
